Where We Go and What We Do

Monday through Wednesday we combine nonacademic lessons in executive functioning, Social Thinking and independent skills with daily trips out into the community.  Each Thursday-Friday we are on an overnight trip where we stay in a hotel.  The purpose of our weekly overnight trip is to help put the skills we are teaching into use so they can be generalized.

A sample of our day trips include:
-Learning how to take public transportation
-Tours
-State Park for swimming/boating
-Reading Terminal to learn how to budget/plan for meals

A sample of our overnight trips
-Point Pleasant beach/boardwalk
-Knoebels Grove Amusement Park & Coal Mine Tour
-Ellis Island & Statue of Liberty
-Lancaster County

*These trips are a sample and subject to change

Summer Travel Camp is an electronics-free camp meaning campers do not bring smartphones, tablets, etc. with them to camp.  Campers may make a brief phone call home during overnight trips.

I’m interested in my son having a successful summer!
